This amplifier gives a 30 dB gain. In the two photos showing the amplifier in use I added a 30 dB attenuator ahead of the amplifier.
The first photo with measurement on the spectrum analyzer shows the signal generator at -20 dBm out, the attenuator set to - 30 dB, the amplifier on with a gain of +30 dB, and the analyzer high input has an attenuation of -20 dB. The signal should be - 40 dBm and the analyzer marker reads -39.28 dBm. In the next photo I increased the generator output to 0.0 dBm and the analyzer measures -19.12 dBm.
