Obtained from a larger lot of Yertes personally owned flats from a Hunt Auctions (PA) auction in February 2006.
Carroll Lefty Yertes Played for the 1929 Philadelphia Athletics that won the World Series. He pitched in very few games. Also played for the Chicago Cubs.
This lot is for both flats, a letter from Jack Quinn discussing Yertes being sent to Portland and a Pullman telegraph that dates around the time he was sold to the Cubs from Reading-Albany Club in 1932.
Both letter were obtained from Hunt Auctions.
