This is a used item. This unit sparked by the power cord hole on the back when we plugged it in and so we did not attempt to power it any further. However, t
here is no smell of electrical burn coming out of the case on the back or around the fan grill.
Also, the display selector needs a new knob or repair as it looks like the knob was lost and then someone was using pliers to turn it (see last picture). We are selling this unit AS-IS.
